Domain expiry
The date your domain registration runs out, published in the registry.
What it means
Every registered domain has an expiry date held in a public registry record. On that date, unless it is renewed, the domain stops resolving. The app goes, the mail goes, the sign in links in every message you have ever sent go with it.
This is the least technical item on a launch result and one of the most expensive to get wrong. It is not in your code, no coding agent touches it, and the reminder goes to whichever address was used at the registrar, which is often a personal one nobody reads any more. The usual cause of an outage is not the domain, it is the card on file expiring before the domain does.
The registry record is public, so a check can read the date and report how many days are left, with the request it made as evidence. Renewing early costs nothing and the years stack.
