Why a check from outside cannot see it

Recovery is a property of your deployment history and your data, not of a page. From the street, an app that can be restored in two minutes looks exactly like one that cannot be restored at all.

How to check it yourself

  1. 1Deploy a change so small it does not matter, such as a word in the footer.
  2. 2Roll it back using whatever your host gives you, and start a timer when you click.
  3. 3Write down the time, then ask the harder question: what would you do if the change had touched data.
